حبة تأخذها المرأة بعد الجماع عندما لا تستخدم وسيلة لمنع الحمل ولا تريد أنتحمل. تسمى أيضًا حبة "الصباح التالي". تقلل الحبة من فرصة حدوث حمل ولكنها غير موثوقة 100%. يجب أن تأخذ المرأة حبة منع الحمل المخصصة لحالات الطوارئ في أقرب وقت ممكن بعد ممارسة الجنس، حتى 3 أيام بعده على الأكثر. حبة منع الحمل المخصصة لحالات الطوارئ ليست وسيلة لمنع الحمل.

Emergency contraceptive pill

Pill taken by a woman after sexual intercourse when she did not use contraception and does not want to get pregnant. Also called "morning-after" pill. The pill reduces the risk of getting pregnant but is not 100% reliable. The woman needs to take the emergency contraceptive pill as soon as possible after sex, at most 3 days later. The emergency contraceptive pill is not a method of contraception.
