In Norway, it is forbidden to discriminate against or harass others: 

  1. No one is allowed to be discriminated against or harassed because of his/her origin. It does not matter what country a person comes from or where s/he grew up.
  2. It is forbidden to discriminate against or harass someone because of his/her gender. This includes men, women, and people who are not categorically men or women.
  3. It is forbidden to discriminate against or harass someone because of his/her sexual orientation, gender expression or gender identity, for example because s/he is homosexual or trans.
  4. It is forbidden to discriminate against someone because of a mental or physical disability.
  5. It is forbidden to discriminate against someone because of a religious belief, convictions or world view – this includes people of all religions and also people who do not have a religion.
  6. It is forbidden to discriminate against someone because of his/her age – regardless of whether s/he is young or old.
