Syfilis

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The first symptom is a wound on the genitals, in the mouth, anus or between the buttocks. The wound is painless. Later symptoms include skin rash in your palms, on your feet or on your back, swollen lymph nodes and fever. Using a condom when having sex reduces the risk of infection. Syphilis is caused by bacteria and can be cured with antibiotics.
