Sex in exchange for money or other benefits. Women, men and trans people can work as prostitutes. In most European countries, prostitution is not prohibited by law. For the most part, however, there are special laws that regulate duties and rights for prostitutes and prostitution operators. In addition, there are often laws specifically designed to protect children and adolescents from the dangers of prostitution.
