Spiral (RİA)

İki tür IUD vardır: hormonal IUD ve bakır IUD. Hormonal IUD bir hormon içerir; bakır IUD bakır içerir. Her iki spiral de gebeliği önler. Spiral, bir sağlık uzmanının rahmin içine yerleştirdiği küçük bir nesnedir. Üç ya da beş yıl rahimde kalabilir. Bu süreden sonra değiştirilmelidir.
