Prin menstruaţie se înţelege scurgerea sângelui din vaginul unei femei, lucru care are loc o dată pe lună. Menstruaţia durează câteva zile. Corpul unei femei se pregăteşte în fiecare lună pentru sarcină, dar dacă femeia nu rămâne însărcinată, corpul elimină sângele în exces din uter.
