Examination to check if someone has sexually transmitted infections (STIs). The doctor asks questions and examines the sexual organs, mouth and sometimes the anus. The doctor takes a swab of the places that may be infected, takes blood or asks the person to urinate into a jar. The doctor sends all samples to a lab for further examination.
